When constructing a brand-new sports complex on Swanlaweg in Zevenhuizen, the focus was not only on the sports fields themselves but also on the surrounding landscape. As part of this project, a sustainable solution was chosen using our GreenMatter EcoRaster E50 grass tiles.
A total of 195 m² of EcoRaster tiles were installed. This water-permeable solution provides a stable and green surface around the artificial turf fields. In addition, no less than 683 kilograms of artificial turf waste was reused as raw material. A great example of how circularity is also visible in the infrastructure of a sports facility.
The project was commissioned by Domo Sports Grass and demonstrates that sustainable choices can be incorporated as early as the construction phase of a sports park.
