Commissioned by SRO Haarlem, the bicycle parking facility at RFC Haarlem has been completely renewed.
A bicycle parking system was chosen, made from planks and posts of recycled artificial turf originating from worn-out sports fields (not production waste). This system provides a functional and well-organized solution for parking bicycles.
In addition, GreenMatter eco-raster (grass) tiles have been installed. These tiles are made from 100% recycled plastic (50% worn-out artificial turf and 50% plastic from household waste) and are permeable to water. They contribute to a stable surface and a climate-resilient sports facility.
With these provisions, a circular and future-proof solution has been realized for athletes, visitors, and the surrounding community.
