After the successful installation of the first QR-FIT bench at Sportpark Middenmeer in Amsterdam, several other municipalities, including Montfoort, are now following suit.
By choosing the innovative and movement-friendly QR-FIT bench, the municipality of Montfoort achieves two key goals: contributing to a circular economy and encouraging outdoor physical activity. This sustainable bench contains an impressive 95 kg of recycled artificial grass, once again helping to reduce the artificial turf waste mountain. A great step towards a more sustainable living environment!
Soon, the QR-FIT bench will also be available in the municipalities of Terneuzen and Reimerswaal. This expansion further strengthens the network of circular exercise spaces, enabling more people to enjoy accessible sports and movement in public spaces.
Did you know that, from a Social Return on Investment (SROI) perspective, no less than eight hours of labor went into the production of this bench? This not only highlights its circular nature but also underlines the social impact of this initiative.
A special thanks to the municipality of Montfoort, Lankhorst, QR-FIT, and Empatec for their valuable contribution to this project.
