New bicycle parking with an eye for sustainability at Rugby Football Club Haarlem!

15 November 2024

We were involved in the process from A to Z!

At sports complex Van der Aart, our GreenMatter Ecoraster (grass) tiles are a sustainable part of a bicycle shed. These permeable tiles were deliberately chosen by the client because they are made of 100% recycled plastic, 50% of which is recycled artificial grass originating from worn-out artificial pitches (no production waste). The other 50% consists of plastic derived from household waste.

De Wilde Infra- & Cultuurtechniek took care of the construction and finished the GreenMatter Ecoraster (grass) tiles with soil and sowed them. In spring, a sturdy grass mat grows, which is not only functional but also contributes to a green and climate-adaptive environment.

Above ground will be bicycle railings, made of recycled plastic.
