In a world where sustainability is increasingly important, we ask ourselves two crucial questions that we would like to answer together with municipalities and owners of artificial grass pitches: What are you currently doing to reduce the waste mountain of worn-out artificial grass pitches? And how will we tackle the rubber problem together?
Our mission is to convert waste from artificial grass pitches into circular raw material streams by manufacturing recycled products. In addition to the raw material stream of artificial grass fibres, we have recently started recycling the SBR infill from old worn-out artificial grass pitches. We are thus committed to innovative solutions that not only help reduce waste, but also contribute to a more sustainable future. Our extensive portfolio of sustainable synthetic turf and rubber products for various applications, offers sufficient choice to bring worn-out synthetic turf fields back to a circular basis.
The Netherlands should have a fully circular economy by 2050. That still seems a long way off, but it is important that municipalities already take responsibility now in their role as residue chain partners. It is important that, as launching customers, they set an example to business and show awareness and communicate this widely. With a wide range of products on offer, municipalities are perfectly capable of fulfilling this role and reusing residues at the sports parks themselves, among others. We want to bring municipalities and owners into our story and create awareness. After all, the whole chain is responsible for the residual stream created.
